Online Physiotherapy Services

What is Telehealth Physiotherapy?

Telehealth Physiotherapy is a virtual service provided via video call or over the telephone. It allows our therapists to assess, diagnose, educate and offer treatment for new patients and keep our existing patients on track using targeted, individualized self-management strategies.

Who is Online Physiotherapy ideal for?

Online physiotherapy consults are ideal for people who:

  • Want to save time and have the convenience of access to specialist healthcare in their own home.
  • Are unable to attend the clinic location due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Are by limited sickness, injury and/or disability, making it difficult to attend our clinic.
  • Want a second opinion from one of our team of physiotherapists.
  • Live overseas, rural or in a remote area.

Is online physio as effective as in person consultations?

If you have experienced an injury, then a telehealth physio session could be the first step on your road to recovery. To date, the majority of experiences with physiotherapy are one-to-one consultations that usually involve some physical treatment by the clinician.

However, assessment, diagnosis and self management through online physiotherapy is just as effective as traditional hands-on physiotherapy. We can hear you, see you and communicate with you about your health concerns and injury – at a location and time that suits your needs.

What does an online physiotherapy consultation look like?

We start the consultation by listening to your story so that we can understand your injury, how it affects your life and any frustrations or confusion there may be around your injury or previous diagnosis. We then provide direction surrounding your injury and ensure your understanding of what’s happening before moving forwards. A tailored plan based on your goals is then established, allowing you to get started on your journey towards better health immediately.
